  1. Workshop: Fair Assessment in Organisations

    Join PAI at our “Fair Assessment in Organisations” symposium, featuring Dr James Outtz, CEO of Outtz & Associates (Washington, USA).

    During his workshop, Dr Outtz will be discussing how to ensure fairness in your selection systems, how to minimise adverse impact, and understanding the fairness of different methods of assessment, amongst other things. The symposium will also offer local papers on adverse impact, data trends in validation research and an update on case law relating to assessment in the South African context.

  1. Research: Issues facing organisations using assessments in the workplace

    In late 2006/2007 PAI embarked on a survey regarding issues facing organisations using assessments in the workplace. The aim of the project was to explore issues and needs of organisations that use assessments in the workplace. The results of the survey were presented at the annual SIOPSA Conference in June 2007.   2. SIOPSA Gauteng Branch Meeting

    On the 21st September 2006 Prof Hennie Kriek presented a knowledge-sharing session at the SIOPSA Gauteng Branch Meeting, covering the topic of Online Testing. Approximately 45 SIOPSA members attended and feedback received indicated that it was a thought-provoking and awareness-raising session.
