PAI serves as an interface between interested stakeholders, which include:
- Industry as the prime stakeholder ("by industry, for industry")
- Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa
- Department of labour
- Professional Board of Psychology (Psychometrics Committee)
- Test Publishers, Test Developers and Test Distributors
- Organised Labour
- Universities
- Human Sciences Research Council
- Institute for Personnel Management
- South African Board of Personnel Practitioners
- Black Management Forum
- Organised Business
Further clarification can be provided of the roles of the different stakeholders:
- Industry (participating companies) provide the finance, resources and the access to data and data samples.
- Other stakeholders provide inputs, advice, test material, expertise, etc. and ensure full representation for previously disadvantaged groups.
- The Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa acts as partner for this initiative and provides the professional standing for the PAI.
